beanside | (no subject)

I have a new chair, to replace the evil chair of death and despair. It's a big and tall chair (which I love my boss for getting without saying a word about it to me) and is black leather. So far, it's pretty nice. If it avoids dumping me on my ass, I'll love it.

Almost done Christmas shopping. Just have to decide what to get for Dad. He's always a bugger to choose for. I'm considering hitting Brookstone and getting him some sort of gadgety thing. Maybe Tempurpedic slippers of something. *shrug* Who knows? Mom, I'm giving a big-ass bird feeder to, which will make her happy.

Shelly's done, thankfully. I'll probably pick up a little something else for Grandmom, don't know what yet. Probably a little figurine or something. Aside from that, tomorrow will be spent relaxing, and probably watching the BSG marathon I'm taping right now. *nod*

Birthday was...well...normal for me. I hate that by the time my b-day rolls around, my stress level is normally on holiday settings, so everything seems huuuuge to me, and I react out of proportion to problems. The end of it was lovely,however, as we went to the Olive Garden and had wine and dessert and then saw Aeon Flux. The movie was definitely not as bad as I'd expected, I must say. There was a cameo near the beginning of Stuart Townsend in eyeliner, which makes any movie better. He didn't talk, which is even nicer.

Now, I shall do some work. Not much, mind you. But some. *nod*
