God how I hate Mondays. No matter how much I try to get sleep on Sunday night, I never quite get enough.
Had a good weekend, though my family decided on Saturday that it was time to clean out the little room right now, as though we hadn't been trying to get them to clean it for the last three years. (Originally, it was to be a place for Jess to have for studying, but people kept throwing their crap in it, and it never got cleaned, just more cluttered.)
We're having the community yard sale coming up on May 21, so they're getting things together to sell. I'm personally fighting the urge to create "spell kits" and sell them off at $5 a pop. I've got plenty of stuff that I want to sell, though, so I'm looking at this as a way to "pare down" some of our crap before the move.
But anyhow, with all the cleaning, Jess' allergies went ballistic. She sneezed her way through the weekend, and feels like poo. I ended up giving her Zyrtec, and running the risk that she'll be a zombie today. It was the only way we were getting to sleep at all last night.
Saturday, we went and saw Constantine at the cheap-o theater. I really love that movie. And, after watching the Project Greenlight season 2 dvds, I have an even greater love of it, because, well, Shia. He's just adorable.
Sunday, we went biking, which was very nice. I was very pleased with how well I did on the ride, and I think we'll be doing it in the future more often.
Then, mother's day spent cooking on the grill, then nap.
I'm going to be online sporadically for the next week, as my laptop is in the process of croaking. Right now, I'm just trying to upload all of my files to my website as a back up. Then, on Friday, I'm due to get my shiny new (okay, used) Ibook. I'm converting to the dark side, and getting a mac. Fear my sithly DVD/CD-RW! *grin*
*snore* Damn, it's too early for this shit.

Date: 2005-05-09 04:02 pm (UTC)Man, I hate Zyrtec. Twice that shit has knocked me out. The first time I was gaming, and I fell asleep at the table with 5 friends, and in the middle of combat (in D&D--the closest we get to combat is fighting over the last of the turkey jerky), I fell asleep, sitting upright, while people rolled dice and talked loudly around me. It was a sample of the stuff, so I hadn't read the warning label, and my same supplier offered it to me at a Superbowl party a few months later, and I almost fell asleep driving home on the freeway. I am never, ever going near that stuff again.
Which reminds me, I need to make an appointment with my doc to get a regular supply of Flonase. Right now, someone else is supplying me with samples of the stuff. Which I would, you know, feel guilty about except 1)It's Flonase. I know all the drug info on that one in gory detail thanks to the old job and 2)my last "health insurance" prescribed Nasarel, which is so foul tasting that the remnants dripping down the back of my throat almost made me throw up every single time I snorted it and 3)taking samples of Flonase cannot be as bad for me as clawing the skin of the back interior of my throat, which is what I'm tempted to do when I don't have it and my allergies act up.
Ah, seasonal allergies. Aren't they grand.
Hang in there.
