I realized that I've pimped the hell out of this on communities, without ever bothering to pimp it here! *grin*

Most of you know that I've been taking my classes to become a Priestess within my coven. To do this, we require a certain amount of community service/outreach. Since it turned out that the Towson UU church is a pain in the ass, and renting space was too expensive, we decided that instead of doing a 101 Paganism class, we would do a webzine for our outreach.

With [livejournal.com profile] alysonwonderlan's kick-ass web design, and tireless work, the first issue of Dawn Rising is online!

Take a look, see what you think! Tell me about it! I wanna know what you like/dislike. What you want to see in the next issue! *grin*

This concludes our test of the pimpage broadcast system.

Thank you. Something that probably couldn't have come at a better time personally.

You know me. You ask for feedback, you get feeback, albeit sometimes with a scary time lag.

Honestly, this is some of the best pagan stuff I've seen on the web. You're right that too many people focus on the insert herb a into candle b approach. Your website has a really good balance of the spiritual aspects with other stuff. Nice, well thought out information. I didn't read everything, but I did skim some stuff in the spirituality section and made a note to come back when it's not first thing in the morning and I have too much to do. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but I think it's really smart to have put that section first--it's like IKEA. You don't have to stop and look at the sample rooms on the way to buy, but it certainly increases the chances that people will by putting it first.

Only one thing I might suggest a change on, and it's a small thing. I'm using a mac at present. I don't know if it's because of that (I didn't know until I started working on web stuff a whileback that macs register colors very differently from pc's), but the colors you use for the links under each heading are difficult to read because they are so pale compared to the background.

At any rate, it obviously didn't stop me, I just thought I'd pass that along in case other people had the same reaction.

Seriously, excellent, excellent info in a really well arranged site. I'm not surprised that anything you are doing is so well done, but it's still very nice to see it. Go you.

If I have a keyboard that works, guess what I'm reading tonight? Damn, I'm offically hopeless.
