It's probably going to be a short one today, because we did mostly fuckall yesterday. Despite the cat attempting to get me out of bed at 4:15, I insisted on sleeping in. This resulted in a bit of a battle of wills, with her jumping on me every ten minutes and pawing at the covers that were tucked around my chin, narrowly missing taking some skin with her little sharp toes. This continued for about an hour and a half before she finally got tired of me gently shooing her off the bed. I slept til 7 before I had to get up. Which is awesome, since today, I only managed to sleep til 6, and I can't even blame Boodle.

After that, it was just killing time until it was time to pick up our dinner from Cracker Barrel. We were going to grab breakfast, but apparently everyone was doing their post Black Friday breakfast, because they were bugfuck. Instead we picked up our spread and headed home to eat leftover Chinese food.

It's our norm to eat Thanksgiving as a late lunch/early dinner, so I started cooking around 12:30. I threw in the hashbrown and sweet potato casseroles, and let them cook through. Then, in went the stuffing, and finally an hour and a half later, the giant turkey breast went in. Lastly the rolls went in for a nice browning.

I was pretty pleased with the food. The turkey was moist and tasty, and the sides were all good. Actually, I'm currently debating whether I want some hashbrown casserole to go with my breakfast slice of pumpkin pie.

I'm glad we got the smaller meal this year. It would have been impossible to fit everything in the fridge otherwise. As it was, baking pans are shoved every which way. We have about half a turkey breast left, despite our best attempts. I'll definitely be eating a turkey sandwich today.

After that, it was time for a fun game of D&D, as I ran a oneshot that looked interesting. It turned out to be a lot of fun, even if I didn't run it as written. The whole premise is that you're supposed to be helping a dragon fulfill his dying wish. At the end of the module, he's supposed to die, leaving you some of his wealth. My party was so thoroughly engaged with keeping this dragon alive that I just couldn't do it. I let them heal him, and they got two powerful allies out of it.

There's a second adventure that people are interested in playing, but I'm going to have to make some changes to it to accommodate the changes I made to this one, but that should be fun. I really liked the way the module was written and I'll be interested to see if the next one is as much fun. If so, they seem to have a bit of a back catalogue that I could pull from.

I did watch the first episode of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on Apple+. It was pretty interesting, and I'm planning to catch a second episode today or tomorrow. They release on Fridays, and I'm a few behind. It's only going to be 10 eps, but so far it seems pretty cool. I like most of the characters so far, and I do think it's pretty cool having Wyatt and Kurt Russell play the same character. So far, we've only seen the flashback with Wyatt. They're saving Kurt for further into the series I guess. To be honest, they were part of the reason I turned on the show.

Today, we have two things to do. To Aldi at noon for some noms, and Jess has to go get their haircut at 4. Aside from that, I plan to be a lump. Okay, time for more coffee! Everyone have an awesome Saturday!
