beansideToday's subject is from one of the faux Eurovision entrants in the Will Ferrell movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. It was a fun little movie, even if it did get close to my embarrassment squick repeatedly. One of the highlight characters was Alexander Lemtov, played by Dan Stevens. (The singing is done by someone else entirely.) This is Alexander's song for the competition, which never fails to make me giggle.
I have the next three days gloriously off. I'm sure I'll be restless in five minutes flat, but at the moment, I'm looking at my three restful days with glee. I do have stuff to do each day, so maybe that'll help. Today, I'm off to Aldi to pick up groceries for the week. Tomorrow I get my hair trimmed. The problem with super short hair is that it goes from good to alarming in no time flat.
Yesterday started out really well, but then changed to shitshow for my last two calls. I was doing really well, moving through the protocols well, and then the last two went to shit. One was the dispatch cardinal sin. I chose court, and the address was drive. My trainer caught it, but UGH.
Up until then, it was so much better.
As I said topoisiontaster, I think I really need to have another sit down with my trainer. I feel like she's coming down harder on me that my co trainee, even when she makes mistakes or muffs up words, she doesn't get the same level of criticism that I feel like I get. Sunday, my co trainee is out for bereavement, so I'm going to have the whole day to practice instead of switching off and on. It should be interesting.
I'm excited, because this weekend, we have a lot of games, which is awesome. Last night, we had Brindlewood Bay, where we finally solved this mystery. This is only our third(?) mystery so far, so I feel like we're still getting into it, but it was a lot of fun. Not sure how it'll work when I'm on evening shifts, they might have to play some games without me, but it'll work out.
Tomorrow is Curse of Strahd, where the group is in the dangerous Amber Temple, and probably under leveled for it. Saturday is the beginning of the end of the first MotW arc. I don't know how many sessions the big fight will take, but we shall see.
Okay, gonna go forth and get myself together. Everyone have an excellent Thursday!
