beansideI do not feel like being upright. I woke up at 12:30, and did not get back to sleep for a long while. While I was awake, my back was bothering me, so I took a muscle relaxant, which was probably not the best choice. I did get back to sleep around 4am, but I feel kinda slow and sluggish.
Yesterday was pretty quiet at work. I had my one on one at 9, which was fine. Mostly it was my manager giving me interview tips. The bit we actually did on my performance was fine. I exceed expectations, apparently. He did ask me to write a list of the things I'd done this year, so I spent a chunk of the day working on it. Turns out, I've done a lot. I'm on page two and still thinking.
Aside from that, it was a day of being poked for help. I had no less than five people message me, asking for what I'd do about this or that situation. And then, my managers manager had me asking my coworkers if they were assigned the training modules or not. My manager was on a call, so I assume she decided to hit up me, since I had one of the trainings done. But seriously, that's a manager thing and I'm going to need you all to pay me for it.
Shortly after that, my manager called again to spitball a policy change and what I thought about it. How many cases did I think he could reasonably ask for people to do? Again, I appreciate the confidence, but can we stop treating me like I already got the job? I'm still an hourly wage slave!
Today I have the inbox, oh joy and fabulous day. Ugh. Aside from that, nothing exciting going on.
It's funny, after a long while of not going anywhere to try to preserve my car, I suddenly am looking for excuses to drive places. I want to take my car ouuut! I want to go all the places!
Okay, time to get myself ready for work. Everyone have an amazing Tuesday!
