beansideHappy Solstice! And Happy Anniversary to my amazing spouse nilchance! 20 years since our handfasting--can you believe it? I love you mores every day and I'm so glad you decided to take this journey with me. Here's to another 20 years!
Yesterday was a busy day at work. It was my turn to do the inbox, which was seriously busy! I also had a training for an hour and a half to learn Authorizations. Yet another thing that they won't pay me extra to do. At least it mostly made the day go quickly.
Dad's blood pressure seems to have stabilized, but his heart rate continues to be high. They're still thinking that he has sepsis, be it urinary or otherwise, so he's getting plenty of fluid and antibiotics. His white count had gone up yesterday, but it seems to be coming back down this morning. Still a bit elevated, but not horrible. He's there until they can get his heart rate down to a reasonable level, so maybe this weekend? I really have no idea.
Today is my early day at work, which I'll use to go down and see Dad. Hopefully, parking won't be too bad at that time of day. I don't expect it to be that busy of a day today, though there's a good chance that my boss will be kind of up our asses about our various presentations for tomorrow.
At 9am tomorrow, we will begin our 4 and a half hour meeting. Ugh. Whether it lasts that long or not, I have no idea. We shall see how well people have done their jobs at being able to talk for 30 minutes about their core task. I may come up with a little more to say today, because I'm not sure I can fill 15 minutes yet. Hopefully, it goes well. I'm sure tomorrow morning, I'll be anxious as hell. My big anxiety at the moment is that our Delivery updates person is going to be sick and I'm going to be forced to fill in with no warning. She has strep, but has been on antibiotics for 2 days, so she's not contagious anymore. Hopefully she'll be good to go. I may type out some notes just in case. I'm the only other person who will be in the office at that time who knows how to do the updates, so if M is down, it's going to fall on me to do it.
Okay, time for me to go forth and get dressed. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!
