beansideThere's nothing quite as annoying as realizing that you forgot to restock your morning pills. So, I'm on Rybelsus for diabetes. You take it with a small sip of water on an empty stomach and wait half an hour before you eat anything. Normally, I'll take it when I inevitably wake up around 4-5am, go back to sleep and then it has the 30 min, plus some extra time. But I ran out of it yesterday, and forgot to put a new bottle in my purse. So, i had to get up and now I'm waiting til I can have coffee.
As per usual after a day in the office, I'm kind of achy this morning. The desk is not quite the right hight, and the chair is not the right size, so inevitably my knees and back are pissy the next day. There really is absolutely no reason that we have to go in. I do more work when I'm home, tbh.
But after a bit of job hunting, I've kind of slacked off. IKEA has a lot going for it. 5+ weeks of vacation, pretty good pay, good insurance. The jobs I was looking at were trumpeting their pay, but they only offer 10 days of vacation, which would suck, or they charge more for less health insurance-wise. I'm beginning to think that unless I can get a job with the state or county, it might be worth it to hang in there, despite getting jerked around on promotions forever.
In the "wow, technology is awesome, an in-home xray group came out and did a chest xray on Dad last night. His primary care heard some mild crackles, and just wanted to be safe. I had no idea that you could do an xray at home, honestly. It was just fucking amazingly cool to watch the image come up on his laptop.
Despite my worries, Jess did great solo with Dad. The only thing they couldn't do was pull him up in bed. Which hopefully, we'll have the hoyer lift for soon.
Today, I have a day of nothing planned. Going to just take it easy and help with Dad. The home health aid is coming to give him a bath, so that'll be good. I don't know if the rehab was doing that well at keeping him cleaned up.
Okay, time for me to consider pants. Everyone have a fantabulous Friday!
