beansideThere's nothing quite like coming up to your sister studying a covid test and going "well fuck." So that's awesome. She's masking, and staying away from the rest of us, but we shall see what happens. Hopefully, no one else gets it. Covid really wasn't on my bingo card for this year, and I did not want to see it again. Better now than in 4 weeks, I suppose. She didn't have the bivalent booster, but Jess and I did. Now, we wait to see if Dad gets it, and if so, if he no-sells it again. She went out with the BIL's family for a birthday party on NYE, and I'm thinking that was the flashpoint. Fingers crossed that it'll be just her, and the rest of us will dodge the bullet.
I don't know what work will want to do with me tomorrow. Unfortunately, in typical ass backwards IKEA fashion, I believe I have to go to the office, tell them that I've been exposed, and then wait to see if they send me home. It would make much more sense to be able to tell my manager ahead of time, and get dispensation, but no.
Yesterday seemed to go very slowly. It wasn't horrible, just slow. And I was not in the mood to take on much extra work, so it was some long stretches of doing nothing. I'm sure today will be equally slow, since I did one of my markets yesterday, and will only have two left to do this morning.
Today is our official 30 day mark until vacation. I am very excited. I think we've got everything figured out at this point relating to the parks. The only thing that's in the air right now is our departure time, and whether we take a rest break halfway down. I really hope we can manage it. I'm not sure how I'll do driving 13.5 hours in one stretch. I mean, we'll still take breaks, but it could be a lot. And since I get carsick if I'm not driving, it's gonna be me doing most of it.
Okay, going to get myself together for work now. Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!

I cannot believe that you can't notify your supervisor of exposure remotely - it makes absolutely no sense to have to drag yourself in to do so, thereby sharing with everyone!
