I'm feeling a little better from my tumble today, though still very tender. I may actually be willing to drive to the mall for our date night, but depending on what parking looks like, I may do Valet, just so I don't have to walk as far on my achy ankle.
I didn't get any of my stuff done yesterday. Some of it, I could do online. I ordered stamps, so cards may be a touch late this year, depending on when they arrive. I still have to go over to IKEA and pick up a few sets of sheets for my sister, as she asked for sheets and long sleeved nightshirts. Land's End took care of the nightshirts, and my 35% discount will take care of her sheets. I might even get us another set.
Aside from that, I believe we are all set up for Christmas. Dad's presents came yesterday, so that's good.
We had the Avernus one shot last night. Calling these mini modules a one shot is insane. We barely got past the opening scene. If I had to guess, it's going to be another two sessions for this one. They're a lot of fun, and leave plenty of room for me to put my stamp on them, but it's a lot of plot.
Today, we have MotW. which is entirely my making. MotW was supposed to be a one shot. I ran premade modules, right out of the book, or off of DriveThruRPG. Somehow, it still developed a backstory. Now, two and a half years later, it's all me. And all the threads that somehow were formed from premade have been woven into it. Got someone who showed up in session 3 who you helped? Oh yeah, she's making tiktok videos about you, and you have a fan base. I love this game so much. The story that we're all telling makes me happy.
Tomorrow we have one of our newer games, Lost Mine. As always, the players ingenuity never fails to surprise me. They're lower level, and they're very good at getting out of trouble.
Okay, time for me to finish typing up the mystery I have planned for MotW! Everyone have a good Saturday!
