beansideI am not awake yet. After two nights of crappy sleep, last night I actually slept, but it'll take a couple of days before my brain catches up. I'm just tired and my brain is not quite there yet. Obviously, it's time for more coffee. And maybe a nap when I get off of work, since we have poisontaster's MotW game tonight and I'd like to be at my chaotic best for it.
Yesterday was...actually pretty busy. I was the backup on the inbox and the primary person didn't come in until 10, so I spent the first two hours clearing that out. Then, it was on to my markets, which didn't take much time at all. Then, it was back to the project I hadn't finished the day before. That took until well after lunch. Then, almost as soon as I sent back the completed spreadsheet, my not!manager was calling me to ask if I'd work on another project. I'll still have plenty left over after I finish my markets today, so it'll probably be another busy day.
Most of my last four projects have been cleaning up other people's messes, which is deeply annoying to me. I hate fixing other people's fuck ups. I don't know if it's poor training, not paying attention, or general stupidity that's causing it. I'm deeply resentful that I'm good enough to be asked to swoop in and fix shit after the fact, but I'm not good enough to be promoted to train people how not to fuck up.
Last night after work, I had a nice long hot shower. The bathroom was just thoroughly steamed by the time I got out. It still seems thoroughly decadent to have hot water and heat again. The hot water heater is robust, y'all.
Tomorrow, it's into the office for me, which is always annoying. I know some people have been in the office the whole time, but for us there is absolutely no reason for us to go in. We did our job just fine for 2+ years. They've acknowledged that productivity is absolute shit while we're in the office, so why are we still doing this?
Oh well. Gonna go forth and try to get myself together. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
