beansideIt's Wednesday, and that means it's D&D night! Yay! Downside, we're heading into the last D&D week of the month, since people will be on vacation. I want all my friends to get to go on vacation and have fun, but I will miss them. It'll probably only be about three weeks without D&D, so we'll manage, but it's gonna be rough. I won't know what to do with my weekends. I might have to do something productive. Or, alternately, there's one shot games with anyone who's around if I get too bored. It'll probably be that, honestly. It's about the only human interaction I get, so I get squirrelly if I don't have it. Plus, as the TikTok goes, it's an ounce of serotonin.
Speaking of serotonin, I totally forgot my psych appointment on Monday. Got a call at 9:30, asking me where I was. I thought it was next week. Whoops. My doctor kindly switched it to a tele appointment, and I had it on my phone right then while I worked. Thank goodness for technology. I asked again about anxiety med, and he reluctantly gave me Atarax, which is basically an antihistamine. He is very much against the idea of anything stronger. It's like dammit, give me some fucking Valium.
I'm supposed to have my neurologist follow up next week, so I've gotta reschedule that, since I haven't had time to do anything she asked. Of course, the big MRI got denied by insurance, so I couldn't have that, but I really need to do the one of my neck. I've just been very hesitant, because I hate closed in places, but I need to just bite the bullet and get my ass together.
Work was tedious yesterday. I got my shit done, then helped in the inbox some, because the person working it is slow as hell. It had ballooned from 20 to 55 emails, which is not ideal. I like the person who was working it, so I figured I'd help out.
I took tomorrow off from work, so I don't have to go in the office, which will be lovely. I may celebrate by dragging my ass over to Costco and stocking up on meat. I looked online, and it seems like at the moment, they're a little bit cheaper than Walmart, and that was at Instacart prices, so they'll be a little less in person. I'm really in the mood for a good steak, so I'll see what they have. I also need to get some freezer bags, since it tends to come in very large packages.
