beansideOkay, so my subject is a cute little made up song. It's still a lyric, dammit. It's also what I keep singing (to the tune of "I'm a little teapot") to Boodle and Yoda, and of course booping their nose. Boodle looks so offended. Yoda is perfectly fine with it. He'll tilt his little head at me and lick my finger.
It is now Monday, and I have another 5 work days of this shit. I am not looking forward to it. Yesterday was a clusterfuck. Apparently, due to computer problems the Saturday updates weren't done. So, I came in to over 70 emails. Normally, it's under 20 on Sunday. It took me almost til 10:30 to get them pulled, thanks to my internet being a bitch, and I was so stressed out, I was nearly crying. It was a normal Sunday, which meant my sister was chattering away in the living room (not at me, just in general), and I just wanted to peel my skin off and run away. We ended up with 300 updates to do, and just one minion to work them, so I ended up doing a lot, and I begged for help from my team. A grand total of one person offered to help. I finally handed off the last of the updates at 3pm. I called my former manager to see if anyone was doing my markets while I was doing the updates. Spoiler, they did one. Out of the five. I agreed to do two of them, and let him assign the others. I chose one that I know I have up to date, and one that I know doesn't have many entries, so it only took me about 30 minutes to finish them. Just in time to do the 4pm pull. Which thankfully wasn't half bad. Still, I finished the day mentally exhausted.
Fortunately, all I had to do was throw the apple sausage in the oven for dinner, so that was good. Also very tasty. Then, we laid down for a bit before we had to get up to put Dad to bed. You would think after that, I'd crash out, but it took me a little while to settle down and doze off.
Today, hopefully things will be less stressful. It should be a normal level of updates, and I'll have an extra minion, so that should help some.
I'm checking my Roll20 calendar, to see how long I have til D&D. We have a game Friday, so I don't have long to wait. I have to do the updates til next Sunday, but hopefully, next week Saturday's updates get done. We've got the Witchlight game on Sunday after I finish work, and I don't want to be wiped out.
We're in progress of scheduling the next Frostmaiden game after the Friday one. August is full of vacations, so it's difficult. If we can work it, we'll probably be playing on a weeknight, just to get a couple of hours of game in. The second half of the month is probably going to be devoid of D&D, and that is just sad.
At least we have some in the first half, and it's possible we'll have the game with Jess' friends during that time frame.
This week we shall have Frostmaiden and Witchlight and next weekend is the game with Jess' friends, then the weekend after that is Strahd and the Lost Mine. Frostmaiden, they're actually doing part of the module! I'm sure I'll find ways to fuck with it, but I'll definitely be re-reading that section before Friday.
Okay, time for me to get myself together for work, boo. Here's hoping for a better day. We're supposed to have storms later, so that will suck. I hope everyone has a good Monday!
