beansideLast night, I took 1/4 of a Valium to see how I would react to it. Apparently, the munchies. An hour after we went down I was dying for cheese puffs. Aside from that, it was pretty nice. I'm sorry they only gave me 3 pills, because I would take that shit all the time. It really lowered my baseline anxiety some and that was only 1/4 of a pill! I wonder what the whole pill will do before my MRI.
Today, my friend K gets her offer letter at work. There's no guarantee she'll get the same offer as I will, but it'll still be one more data point. Thursday is coming so slowly! We just need to get this over with.
They've started opening up the new jobs, so I put in for two that sounded interesting. It's a little annoying that they're putting up the jobs before everyone has their offer letters. I'd like to know where I'm going to be before I put in the applications. Still, one was Team Lead, so I punched up my resume and cover letter and put it in there. Here we go again.
If they dissolve our team, I don't know what they're going to do with the random shit that they have come in. We had a fire in our warehouse last week, so all the orders had to be cancelled and rebooked, to the tune of 400 orders. So, of course, it fell to my team to do it. Without us, where will they send all their bullshit that needs to be done?
I really have no faith that the powers that be have considered any of this in their grand plans. Also, our director keeps signing her emails "to our glorious future." One, that's straight up cult speak. Two, what the fuck? How is this glorious? Maybe it's glorious for her. She isn't worried about her job or money. The rest of us...not so much.
I have fallen into the D&D youtube K-hole. So many entertaining shorts. It's perfect for my attention span. I found this one especially valid.
Also, because I forgot, a very happy 19th anniversary to my lovely spousenilchance! Here's hoping for many more!
