Good morning! It's Friday and I'm free! Except for the ENT appointment at 10. It's in Owings Mills, which is always a pain, traffic wise. Also, it's in the buildings I used to work in, so forcible nostalgia for a job that fired my ass when I got too disabled. (Only to find out that the stress of the job was a large portion of why I was sick--I haven't had to use a cane since I left.) Still, it was six years of my life and only got bad at the end. So, it'll be weird. It's for a balance test. I have no fucking clue what that entails. Hopefully, it's nothing horribly unpleasant.

Work yesterday seemed to take roughly forever. I was moderately busy for most of the day, but it dragged. I had delivery updates, which is always good busywork. The updates were high, so I solicited help, and then had too many people for the amount of updates I had. Oh well, better that than being buried. The last run was heavy, so I'm sure there were some left undone for today. Hopefully it's not too bad. They still haven't properly trained people to do them, so one of our managers is doing them. It's not that bad, but it does require a semi understanding of Excel, and that seems to be in short supply. Once you get through that, it's pretty easy.

Yet again, after a day of work, and combined with the incoming rain, I had a headache from hell. I'm pretty sure it's the lighting. My desk at home has natural light and a little desk lamp from Walmart. Work, of course, has the big overhead fluorescents, and I'm just not used to them any more. I'm going to have to build up a tolerance again.

As a result, I ended up ordering dinner, since I just couldn't handle cooking. Tonight, though, I shall cook the steaks in the fridge.

Then, to finish the night off, we got a sympathy card from the ER Vet. I don't know if they do it for everyone, but the whole place signed it and put little notes of sympathy in it. It wrecked me completely. God, I miss that little gremlin. Every morning that I get up and he's not there to yell at me for food, it's like a little shard of glass in the heart.

Tonight, we shall have D&D! No clue where my players will go next. I have a few things planned, but we'll see what they want to do. I'm so looking forward to it! D&D is my great escape from reality. For three or so hours, there are solvable problems and the players can make a difference in the state of the world. Also, dragons.

Okay, I'm going to get myself together for the day. Happy Donut Day! Go hit up your favorite place and grab something tasty!
