Tuesday has come! Two more days to vacation!
We got Sam's bloodwork back, and it could be better. His thyroid is still jacked up, but now his white blood cell count is elevated. The vet said it might just be inflammation or an infection, or it could be that he has cancer of the stomach and intestines. The only way to find out would be a major surgery which we're obviously not going to put an 18 year old cat through. He's on antibiotics for the next seven days and we'll see how it goes.
I'm completely freaked out, since this is what happened with Grace. She was sick before our vacation, and then she died on the last day we were away. I don't think Sam is sick, but I'm still a little paranoid.
We talked about it, and we're still going on vacation. My sister will take good care of him while we're gone, and as I said, he doesn't seem sick. He's supposed to go back in a month for more blood tests, so we'll see how he is then.
Today, work will be busy in the morning, then nothing. Tomorrow, I'm scheduled to be back up on the inbox, but I have no doubt that the primary person will call out, as that's his normal shtick. It'll just make me appreciate the time off more.
I'm trying to decide if I'm dizzy less lately or if I've just gotten used to it, that only the really bad episodes register. It seems like it might be a little better? Maybe?
We've come up with four things to do in Lancaster, plus pool/hot tub time. Hopefully, this will be enough to keep me occupied and not get antsy. If I do, there are plenty of other outlets I can try. I have to at least behave on Saturday, which is Jess' 40th birthday! We have D&D on Friday and Sunday this week, but it's a shame we couldn't get something together for Saturday. Jess would have enjoyed playing on their birthday. Here's hoping the hotel wifi is up to the challenge of Roll20.net.
Okay, time to get myself together for work, ew. Have a good Tuesday everyone!
