beanside I am nowhere near awake this morning. I was up at 4, and then seem to have crashed back out, so that when my alarm went off, it woke me from a sound sleep. It was not fun, and I did not want to wake up. I also forgot to take my Rybelsus while I was awake in the middle of the night, so I had to pop it at 6, and now I can't have coffee for half an hour. I really need some coffee, so I'm counting down, to say the least.
Yesterday I mostly kept busy during work which was a nice change of pace. I had the delivery updates, my normal markets, plus a couple of flagged emails that needed to be addressed. Then, I had my afternoon meetings. Neither was horribly exciting. The first was a US company-wide LGBTQ group. We had a guest speaker who wanted to tell us about intersectionality. I was having some processing issues, and a hard time focusing, so I'm not sure how much I got of it, but I think I picked up enough that I can regurgitate some at the ED&I meeting today.
The second meeting was even less interesting, as we danced around "Don't fuck your coworker" for forty five minutes. Thrilling. I think mostly it was the company covering its ass. If something were to come up down the line, they can point out that we all watched the presentation and signed the form that says we don't have any conflict of interests.
The rest of the day was relatively quiet. There was a 4pm rush to get the updates pulled and handed out before it was time for me to leave at 4:30. I always feel pressed for time, but I got them done by 4:16, so it wasn't even close. It's still my least favorite time of the day when I'm doing updates.
We had a peaceful evening, and watched the replay of the first day of Eurovision. Most of it was meh. A whole lot of warbly ballads that just didn't jump up and get me. The two acts that did were Ukraine and Norway. Both seemed to get the weird brief, and I did not fast forward through their performances.
Today, I have nothing to do for the morning, so I suppose I'll help out in the failed delivery queue. One of my friends has it today, so I'll be nice and help him out. Aside from that, I have no leftover markets, so I'll be waiting for them to come in.
Tomorrow I'm off to take the doggo to the vet. Fun fun!
