beansideAnd morning came early again. Ick.
Yesterday was a bit more eventful than I expected it to be. Started out normal, but by midday, I was feeling dizzier than ever and just...not good. I was tired and felt kind of shitty and shaky. I freaked out a bit, admittedly. I used doctor google, and got back a pile of alarming results (heart attack, cancer), so I decided that it was finally time to get checked out.
So, Jess drove me to the ER and we spent several unpleasant hours to be told that I'm perfectly healthy. My heart is fine, the enzymes are good. My bloodwork looks fine. No pulmonary embolism. (Thanks doc, I hadn't even thought about that!) The only thing that was amiss is that the entire time I was in the ER my pulse rate was elevated (Gee, y'think). It was fine when I just checked it, so it was obviously just being in the ER.
I have a follow up with my primary care on Friday to see what she thinks. I'm assuming more bloodwork, maybe a referral to a neurologist or an ENT? We'll have to see. I'm just glad it wasn't my heart. It scares the living hell out of me that I could be like my mother, and just have heart attack after heart attack, each a little more debilitating until the end.
I still feel a little blah today, but I do feel better than I did yesterday, though I think that's just sheer relief.
Today will hopefully be more relaxing. I'm going to work, but I'm going to take it easy today.
So, TLDR to say that I'm fine, just dizzy. Go figure. I feel a little silly for making a fuss, but I was really worried. I feel especially bad because I had a Masks game scheduled, but I cancelled, since I wasn't sure how long the ER would take. And I was pretty much wiped out afterwards, just went straight to bed and crashed for the night.
