beansideI've been on a Fall Out Boy kick in my subject lines lately. I put on a CD in the car the other day since nothing was on the radio, and remembered how much I enjoy their stuff, I guess. I blame Jess as always. Most of the music I have on my playlists are things that they got me into. I would be dragged in kicking and screaming and suddenly I'd be paying for their concerts. Go figure.
Yesterday was a mostly chill day aside from ferrying the puppy to his grooming appointment. Fortunately, despite the snow, the roads stayed clear, so it wasn't anything major. Now he is all shaved and cute and not shaggy at all. I think because of the snow, they may have had some cancellations, since it didn't take him long at all. Just over 2 hours instead of his normal 3-4, which was awesome.
Then we just relaxed until it was time for Monster of the Week.
When last we left our little chaos gremlins, they had just defeated the demon Lust, and had six other deadly sins to find and vanquish. The half elven fey are agitating for recognition from the fey court, and the gremlins, as Knights of the Summer Court have been sent to deal with the problem-however necessary. They quickly ascertained that she is under the effects of Envy. They go to meet with some of her siblings, and find that the local hospital is under the effects of Sloth. Doctors and nurses aren't showing up for duty as a malaise has gripped the hospital. The Sorcerer is able to track the effect to a comatose patient who is harboring the demon. The party returns, and are able to exorcise the demon, and banish it with minimal fuss.
They head to a football rally and find that there's is more than one sin there. They discover that Envy is inhabiting the body of a half elf sibling and try to figure out how to get him away from the group. A fight breaks out as some of the other team's students arrive to crash the rally, and the team realizes that Wrath is at work.
In the confusion, the Divine teleports Envy away, but their attempt goes awry and they end up in the Denny's parking lot. Envy reveals that he has hollowed out the kid and is wearing his skin like a suit. A fight ensues before the Divine is able to banish Envy, leaving a pile of skin behind. When they go back to the rally, they find that Wrath is no where to be found. The coach and several players have disappeared. A quick search of the locker room and the coaches office turns up steroids, which they believe wrath is using to augment his powers.
The Apprentice attempts to scry on the demons, and finds the location of a few of them. With Gluttony, Greed, Pride and Wrath still on the board, they head out to find Wrath, and we close it there for the night.
