It's Friday! Unfortunately, I don't get a quiet day, as I have a psych appointment at 10, and Dad has a podiatrist at 3. The second depends on if the freezing rain we're having now has cleared up by then, because I'm not taking an 80 yr old man out in shitty weather. It's just not happening. I really don't feel like it anyway, to be honest. I never do, though, so it's not likely to be better if I wait. The weather is at least supposed to clear up, so we'll see.

Yesterday was boring followed by busy busy, as all my markets dropped at 3pm, leaving me to scramble to get them done.

We've gotten our day for pickup of the new equipment--it's not til 4/7, so it'll apparently be awhile before we're back in the office for our one day a week. Of course, getting the new equipment means breaking down and taking what I have back, which is going to be a joy. The cool thing is that with an adapter, I'll be able to use the new screens with my laptop for D&D. It would be nice to have dual monitors to put my many many windows on. It'll be two monitors with a docking station and a laptop which we'll be hauling back and forth to the office.

We continue to make our way through the Good Chop meats, and continue to be happy with it. Last night was a pork butt, tossed in the slow cooker with potatoes and a balsamic marinade. Dad unfortunately hated it, but the rest of us really enjoyed it. Even with only putting it on for 5 hours, it was tender and had really good flavor.

From a covid standpoint, the meats have been really good. We've found that the quality of the meat makes a difference in how it tastes to me. Sometimes the meat we get from Walmart can tweak the "this is rancid" taste buds. It also probably depends on how you cook it, and I'll admit, I've been doing a little bit fancier preparations to really see how good the meat is. Tonight is simple--hamburgers, which I know Dad will like.

I've been waffling over two things over the last couple of weeks. 1. Which meats do I want in my next box? 2. Do I want a new phone? The new Galaxy 22+ or Ultra is coming out soon, and I am deeply tempted. I don't need a new phone, really. Mine works perfectly well. The battery isn't as good as it used to be, but definitely not enough to be a problem. But on the other hand, shiny. It doesn't sound like it's a hard choice, but the lure of the pretty is strong. They don't actually ship for a month, so I have a little time to consider.

Okay, time to go get my windows defrosted so I can go get my crazy pills. I miss the days of virtual appointments. Have a good Friday everyone!
