Somehow yesterday, I managed to fuck up my back. It's hurting and spasming. Not as bad as last time I threw it out, but not awesome. This may mean that Dad's doctor's appointment is getting pushed back, because I cannot imagine pulling and tugging his walker in and out of the car as it is. I'm going to call and see when the next appointment is when they open.
Yesterday was a long, boring day. I had training for something I probably will not use, and then nothing for long stretches. My markets came in around 2, and I got them done in about an hour. Today, I get off at 12, for Dad's appointment, so I don't expect much to come in before I leave.
On the plus side, I have really nice steaks for dinner. I used some of the tax money to go to the Amish Market for prime rib steaks. Cooking them may suck for my back, but I'm going to salt them and pepper them and throw them in the frying pan just for a few minutes. (Dad's will go longer, which is sacrilege, but whatever, he's a heathen.)
Tomorrow, more steaks arrive. I decided to try a company called Good Chop that sends you what's supposed to be prime cuts of meat. We'll see what I end up getting. Supposedly grass fed meet from sustainable, ethical domestic farms. I'm hoping the meat will be good and not tweak my covid "This is rancid" tastes. It's better than it used to be, but some meats are still hit and miss.
One of the things we're getting is salmon. I'm not sure about it, but I'm hoping if I bake it, it'll be okay for Jess and I texture wise. Maybe I'll swing by IKEA on Saturday and get some of their dill mustard sauce. That could be good with it. Once in a while, I need Omega3s and start craving salmon. It's 100% weird. I'll probably bake it on Saturday, so I don't have to freeze it. I figure it'll have a better texture that way.
Two games this weekend--one on Friday, one on Sunday! As with last time, I'm not sure exactly where the players are going to go during the Friday session. They have a loose idea, but things may change. I'll have to do some prep, since some of the game is homebrewing a bit, and I'll need to be ready with some juicy details. Sunday's game is a little more structured at the moment, so at least I have an idea what to prep.
Time to consider getting ready for work now. Have a good Thursday everyone!
