beansideIt's Friday! Today shall be a day of doing nothing. Seriously, I have absolutely nothing planned. Tomorrow, we have to take puppers for his day of beauty, but today is nothing. Having said that, I'm sure I'll end up doing something--that's pretty much inevitable, but I'm going to try, dammit.
Yesterday was bot too boring. The Inventory team was overwhelmed, so the dude who was supposed to do the inbox got pulled, so I helped out on that, which kept me relatively busy. Plus all my reports came in early, so I had that to do as well.
Found out that we're switching transport companies for the Los Angeles area on 2/1, and so it is possible that I will have another market to deal with. This does not make me happy at all. There's probably someone who already has that market and will just join me on this one, but that usually takes a couple of weeks to happen, so we shall see. I technically have time to do it, but I already do a LOT of markets. Just because I'm really fast doesn't mean I'm not doing a lot of work. I'm already working four major markets (Boston, Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago) and a few smaller ones. (Portland, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Albuquerque, El Paso, Iowa, Alabama and Upperstate NY). I don't really need to add one of the largest markets we have to my list. Why don't we just throw NYC in there, too?
Aside from that, work has been work. No updates on when we'll be getting the new equipment or going back. The new equipment is going to be an enormous undertaking. That's nearly 1000 people they have to pull in and train. Our IT department is going to be losing their minds.
Tomorrow, as I said, is pupper's day of beauty and then Monster of the Week! I think this week we're going back to the myth arc. I just have to reread my notes so I'm ready. For a game that was supposed to be a series of interconnected one shots, they've got quite a tangled running plotline, and a ton of allies and enemies. I apparently don't do one shots particularly well.
I have off on Tuesday for an appointment with the new doctor. I'm already anxious about it. You never know what kind of doctor you're going to get. But if I want to stay with Hopkins, this is my option. From what I've found, she's been practicing for about 6 years, and only has one rating. It's a good rating, but it doesn't tell me anything about how she'll be with me. Even though I've lost weight on the Rybelsus, I'm still fat and for some doctors that's a major failing. I'm also diabetic, which can be seen as a personal failing.
I know I can just get up and leave if she gets shitty, but I'm not very good at that. Oh well, I need my medications, so I'm going to suck it up and go like a grown up. Adulting is hard, y'all.
Okay, I've whined enough. Going to have more coffee and commence doing nothing. Have a great Friday, y'all and stay safe in the snow if you're on the East Coast!
