beansideI did not want to drag my ass out of bed this morning. The alarm went off, and I gave serious thought to just not. Obviously, I did, but it was hard. I was all snuggled in, warm and comfy. I gave serious thought to getting up an hour later, but I dragged my butt up anyway.
Work yesterday was boring as hell. I had a total of one market come in, and it had six lines. The primary transport company sent us an email around 2:30pm, informing us that their entire team was out sick, so no report would be forthcoming today. As a result, I did absolutely nothing all day. Somehow, that's more exhausting than actually working. I'm hoping today people are feeling better and we have some work to do, but we shall see. When people are out sick, these days my first assumption is Covid, so it may be a few days. We shall see.
I was so tired that last night's dinner was just fried corn beef hash from a can. It was about the level of cooking that I was good for. I know it's just the equivalent of cat food for humans, but damn, it's good, especially with a little pepper added. And best of all, it's easy. Tonight is gumbo from a box, which hopefully won't suck. I just have to cook the chicken and then throw in the rice and cook that.
Sam is very lovey today. He's sitting on the back of the couch demanding pets and snuggles. It's very sweet. At the moment, his target is Jess. They're petting his stupid head and Sam seems very smug.
We had some snow yesterday, but it was not the snowpocalypse. Maybe 3-4"? Not too much by Maryland standards. Good day for some hot cocoa, though.
