beansideIt's Thursday, which means it's my Friday! Yay! All of my markets came in early yesterday, so it'll probably be a boring morning unless a project comes in. Which is always a possibility. Then, we have a team meeting in the afternoon, so that'll be interesting. With the news about the bonus coming out, I'm sure it's going to be primarily questions about that.
I did find out that we'll be getting the bonus on 11/26, so in time for Black Friday, which is awesome. Still don't know how much it'll be for, but whatever it is, I'll take it happily. I don't really need anything, but one can never have too many t-shirts, and maybe a couple of nicer shirts for work, since we're going back sometime in the new year.
I got the official kiss-off email on the job I'd applied for so that's that. I don't know if they're going to reschedule my meeting or not. It would be nice to get some actual feedback on what I need to improve for the next time this comes up.
Since the little blip in the internet, it's done really well. And it wasn't that horrible when it had the blip. 50mbps is enough for streaming. And the rest of the time, it's been between 200-300mbps. And that's on only two bars. If we ever got it to five, who knows what our speeds would be? I've been putting it to the test, streaming video in high def.
Looking forward to finally getting to watch Shang Chi tomorrow on Disney+. I'm really ticked that Disney isn't releasing their stuff as streaming at the same time as the theater. I would totally have paid the $30 to watch this when it came out. And fuck knows, I'm a little pissed that I won't see Spider-Man on the day of release. It's even on my birthday, dammit. But, I'm just not ready to go into a theater. Especially since they've relaxed the Covid protocols. It was one thing when they were leaving 2 seats between parties, but I don't think they're doing that anymore. Being outside with people was about as much as I was willing to do.
