It's Monster of the Week day, y'all! It's going to be a quiet day today up til then, I believe. No real plans that I can think of. Started off by waking up at 5, which is not the way I want my Saturday to go. Stayed in bed til 6:30, when I started getting antsy.
Yesterday was a busy day! With much pulling and tugging and some cussing, we got the old couch out, and built one of the two sofas. It wasn't as bad as I was afraid, thankfully. I'm a little sore today, but not horrible by any stretch. The new couch looks very nice, and makes the remaining loveseat look totally shitty. It's much more comfortable, and is build for short people. You can sit on it, and your feet are on the floor! It wasn't horrible to put together, either, which was appreciated. For IKEA furniture, it was damned near simple. The next one is to be done on Monday, when I'm off for the pupper's grooming appointment. Since it's only the loveseat to move out, it should be much easier!
Wizards of the Coast is putting out a new D&D module called The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. I seem to have somehow decided to DM it. I put out the call on the Discord server and already have 8 probable players. I am obviously a glutton for punishment, but the module seems to be set to my personal id. It seems to be a little lighter-hearted than our current campaign, Rime of the Frostmaiden, in that every challenge can be solved without combat if you so choose. It doesn't come out until Sept 21, but it seems likely that I'll be running three campaigns consecutively. I blame Jess for being an enabler.
My new bra came from Torrid, and I love it. It fits, and is comfy, and I wore it out to get dinner last night. It fits very well, which is a nice change from what I have now. I'm on the last hook, so there's a little leeway if I shrink more. The sports bra is still a little tight on me, but not bad, so it stays. Not so sure about the pushup bra. I will debate on that one. The two pairs of bike shorts are awesome, and I will definitely wear them out. They're very comfortable, though probably not the most flattering, but really, fuck flattering.
In news that made me very sad, beloved primary care doctor is leaving the practice in October. Which means I'm going to have to find a new doctor that I like. This sucks on so many levels. He wasn't good with fat acceptance, but aside from that, he was stellar. I'm just grateful to have had him for a decade, I suppose. He's gotten me through a lot, most recently becoming diabetic and COVID. I will miss him a great deal.
Okay, time for some more coffee and to get myself together to do nothing today. It's going to drive me crazy, no doubt. Have a lovely Saturday, everyone!
