With a taste of your lips, I'm on a ride

It's (presumably) package day! I say presumably because I don't really think the GoPro is coming today. It's showing that it just arrived in Baltimore this morning, and not at the local office, so I'm betting I get it tomorrow or Saturday. This is annoying. I want my toy! Yoda is ready for his closeup and all! So, I'll just be getting the tactical fanny pack today. And the charger for my glucose meter, which is kinda important.

The glucose meter has an incredible battery, so between charges, I tend to put the cord somewhere safe, and lose it. This will be the third cord in three years.

After much consideration and looking at the local positivity numbers and considering the Delta, Delta plus and Lambda variants, we decided to cancel our tickets to see the Suicide Squad tonight. Even with masks, it just didn't feel safe, especially since the theater seems to have stopped doing spacing between parties anymore. It seems that it's time to go back into hibernation. (Near-normal, so nice to see you for a couple months, bye.) So, we'll be watching that on my computer tomorrow, I suppose. Making grownup decisions is a pain.

Thank god our vacation is primarily outdoors, because god knows what things will be like in October. I'm going to be wearing a mask even outside, but I think we'll be okay. By then, the park may require masks again, who knows? I am reconsidering our lodging, though. The condo is looking good again, so we'd have somewhere to eat whatever food we end up doing for carry out.

There's a restaurant called the Hound's Tale that looks like a possibility for carryout. It's well rated on trip advisor and their menu looks amazing .

It's my Friday! Yay! I'm looking forward to a nice quiet weekend. We're playing Monster of the Week on Saturday, so that should be fun! We may make another dump run on Saturday as well, since Jess has been on a cleaning tear. Black bags are migrating from the house to the car at a prolific rate.

I put in yesterday for my IKEA credit purchase, since starting Friday employees will get 25% off instead of the usual 15% for ten days. New couches, here we come! Unfortunately, they're out of our somewhat questionable choice of cover, so we'll probably have to get basic gray for now. They're fairly easy to change, so if the cool one comes back in stock, we can always get it.

Okay, I shall now have my coffee, and get ready for work. One more day to the weekend!

I'm definitely having second thoughts about my trip this month, but it's somewhat too late to cancel.
At least I'll mainly only be around a couple of people and not in big groups, I guess :/

the condo does sound like a reasonable idea - fewer people around than a hotel, and as you say, you could eat your take-out (or fix simple snacks) easily. and that menu looks terrific - so many things I'd love to sample!

plain grey might not be as fun as the 'cool' cover, but you could dress it up with pillows or a throw over the back

I just have to contact the condo and see if it's all right that we're probably going to be getting in late on Thursday. I'm not sure how check in works with them.
