beansideIt's Friday! *Snoopy dance* I'm so glad we've reached the weekend. It was a long work week.
In the past, when I would have questions about a notation on my market, I would put the question, send it back and get a response. About a month ago, after we weren't getting them for a while, they've stopped responding. I don't even think they're actually looking at them anymore. As a result, it kind of feels like yelling into the void. I've come to actively resent doing them, because nothing I do changes anything, and I end up eventually cancelling all the orders that I have questions on, just to get them off the report. This of course, impacts the customers and the business, but I don't see any other options, and the Market Managers don't seem to be doing anything either. It's not just me either. My coworker feels the same way, but neither of us see a way to correct it since the transport company won't respond to anything. Next time I talk to my manager, I'm going to bring it up, I think.
Thankfully, my other coworker, who normally does the updates will be back on Monday, so I won't have to worry about that next week, at least. I ended up doing at least part of the updates Monday through Wednesday last week. I don't really mind them, but it was not something I was expecting.
On the plus side, my sister finally got the formal okay for having the Friday of our vacation off, so I went ahead and bought the parking passes. Everything is now set, and I just have to wait for Sept 30th, which seems so far away!
In honor of the IKEA Family Plan (which is our loyalty plan) turning 10 years old, they're giving us an additional 10% off our employee discount for 10 days, starting on August 6. This means, it's time to get the new couches! And maybe a new mattress for Jess and I! We have an employee credit plan where they'll take it out of my check over the course of 9 months. Klippan couches here we come.
Today will be a chill day, I believe. Maybe watch something and try to relax.
Tomorrow, we may go to the dump with our pile of black bags from cleaning the car and the house, and then we have D&D at 3! Yay!
