A Saturday where I have no plans at all! I'm going to do nothing and it's going to drive me crazy today. I don't do well with idle. Maybe I'll work on the bike some. Though I think it's going to be really hot out, so maybe not.
Yesterday was semi busy. Jess had a doctor's appointment, so I went with them to that, only to find out they're not allowing anyone but the patients in the clinic, so I spent some time in the car. Then a trip to McDonalds to get lunch. Then to Safeway to pick up some groceries we needed.
In between, we watched Loki, which was...okay? It was very exposition heavy, and while I liked Jonathan Majors, by the end of his speech, I was kinda ready to move on to something more. I guess that's it in a nutshell. I wanted more. The very end was pretty cool, and I'll be interested to see where they take things in the second season. Plus, what'll happen in the next few Marvel movies with the multiverse.
Our rental for Willy's Wonderland expired, so we'll have to re-rent it at some point. Next up in the watching queue is Leverage and Gunpowder Milkshake on Netflix. I'm a sucker for a female-led action movie, even if it's not that good. Plus, lets be honest, I have low standards for good.
I bought tickets for Suicide Squad for the Thursday night it opens. It comes out on a probable D&D weekend, so that was likely the only time we could make it. The early reviews seem to say that it's entirely bonkers, so I'm looking forward to it. It's annoying that it's still so far away (Aug 5).
I'm still in the process of pricing out our vacation in October. It looks like it'll be cheaper to go through Busch Garden's package deal. Decent hotels are pricey even in October. I guess HallowScream is a popular attraction. I'm hoping that since we're going the first weekend in October, it won't be too crazy. We went once for this about a decade ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. To be honest, I don't even need to do any of the haunted houses. The last two years have been scary enough that I don't need help. I'm just looking forward to being outside, hopefully enjoying some sunlight, and going on a few rides. I'm seriously hoping that I'll have shrunk enough to squeeze my ass onto a couple of their roller coasters, especially Apollo's Chariot. When we went last, it was still relatively new, and the lines were insane, but the ride on videos look awesome.
(And how much do I love that there are ride on videos for pretty much every coaster in the world?)
Okay, I'm off to do...nothing. Have a great Saturday, y'all!
