beansideSo, it has now been one week since my interview. And though the recruiter said it would be about 2 weeks before I hear anything, I have been jumping at every email that crosses my work inbox. If it takes the full 2 weeks, I may lose my mind. I don't know if I'll get to the next step. I'm trying to keep my expectations low, so it won't sting as much if I don't get it. All I can say is that I tried my hardest.
At Jess' request, I made breaded and fried pork chops last night. They turned out pretty well. Everyone seemed pleased with it. I liked it because it was easy enough to make, so that'll go on the list of "shit that works well for dinner."
Work was work-like yesterday. I did a little of this, a little of that. Nothing exciting. My Portland market has been a mess, so that's been taking me more time than usual. I really, really would like to see what their drivers do, because I have more not at home cases there than in Chicago, which is my biggest market. It makes for a lot of work for me, but hey, it's something to do.
On the plus side, the wicked discontent that I was having seems to be easing up. I don't feel quite as trapped as I did, even though I still kind of am. I guess I've just fallen back into the routine. One of these days, I'll get out of it, but it's not that time yet. Once in a while, I still go on some of the Swedish sites, and look at apartments and daydream.
I haven't been keeping up with the Swedish lessons. I got frustrated with my lack of progress, and took a break. I will get back to it, I just need to figure out where I need to restart at.
