Up til late last night for D&D, and still awake at 7:30. Ugh. My body is a dick. Oh well. we'll go to bed early tonight, since tomorrow I'll be back to work.

Did absolutely nothing yesterday. In the eventual plan to move to Sweden, and my own obsessive planning tendency, I have been watching youtube videos from expats who have gone to Sweden to work. It's become a bit of a K-Hole that I've fallen into. I am well aware that nothing is going to happen on it for probably years, but my brain has latched onto "new adventure," and it's stuck there.

It's a weird headspace. I know that for any of this to happen, my father has to pass, and that's just strange to think about. I don't want that to happen, but I feel kind of stuck. Everything I do has to revolve around my family. Is there someone who can stay with Dad and the dog? Does my sister have plans on X day? Do I have enough money left after bills and groceries to do anything?

I know I'm not going to be paying for most of the food anymore, so that will help with the finances part. But the stuck part? There's no real way to get around that. Since my sister works too, even vacations are basically one full day and two nights. We leave Friday after she gets home, and we're back on Sunday afternoon, so she can do laundry.

I think we're all a little burned out. It's been a long year, and it's wearing on all of us. Definitely on me. Meds are still working--I'm not depressed, I'm just feeling a little like a hamster on a wheel. I think that's part of the reason I put in for the Quality job. Any little change sounds good right now.

But on the plus side, last night was D&D!

Our little murder muppets went further up the mountain and found a frozen cave! A yeti attacked! They fought the yeti, and our fighter used her rapiers to make yeti kabob! They went into the cave and found a mother and yeti tyke. The tyke was playing with one of the adventurers they were sent to rescue--batting the still very alive hafling around like a ball! Utilizing a spell of invisibility and a minor illusion for distraction, our bugbear rogue snuck in and grabbed the halfling and carried her to safety.

She explained that the one of the other members had gotten killed outright by the yeti, and the third had fled up the mountain. So, the party headed up the mountain. They found the other member, frozen solid in the snow, as well as a dead random dwarf. A quick invisible scouting mission back in the cave found the bones of the third party member, as well as his very nice greatsword. Not finding anything else, they headed back down the mountain into the town, which has a petty theft and vandalism problem! No one has seen the culprits, but the places that have been broken into have "nothing" written near the doors in dwarvish. The team puts out the word that the new sword is especially nice and magical and go to their room to wait.

Near dawn, the door opens silently and an invisible creature sneaks in. Our sorcerer casts grease on the door, and the creature goes down. A minute later, it's back up, and the invisibility drops, revealing a gray skinned dwarf, who suddenly enlarges to barely fit the space. The party chooses to do non-lethal damage, so that they can interrogate the unlucky duergar (gray dwarf). We stopped it there, as it was getting late, and experience points were given out. No level up this time (sad).

Today, Monster of the Week. Hopefully, a good time will be had by all!
