It's Friday! Which is the beginning of my weekend! I don't have much that I plan to do this weekend. Gotta go shopping, whether it's at Aldi or the Amish Market. Beyond that, not much going on. It's Greek Easter, so my sister will be doing laundry either tonight or tomorrow, so I'll have to work any plans around that. Everyone is vaccinated over at the brother in law's house, so they're doing a get together. Her vaccine won't be quite at top potency, but it's only two days off, so I'm not really worried, plus, like I said, everyone else is vaccinated fully. Hopefully, they send home some leftovers. I love me some domades.
The meeting yesterday was an hour and a half, and most of it was painful. They're changing the way we put in for PTO to a new (granted, less intuitive) way. It's IKEA policy that PTO be approved by a manager, instead of the scheduling software we're using now. So, it has to change. No choice there. And yes, for last minute things, it could be difficult because a manager might be out, and you have to find another manager to approve it. But really, that happens very rarely. Oh my god, so much whining. You would have thought it was done purely to spite them for all the whining. It's being done because people were being assholes and putting in for time they didn't currently have. Now, you have to have the PTO in order to put in for it. No one complained about that, since it's been policy forever, but it was obvious that people were unhappy they couldn't circumvent that any more.
The project of doom is down to 1145 orders on it. I was pleased to get it under 1200. Now if we can just not get a ton added over the next couple of days, it would be nice. I did go on the chat and cheer my team on when we hit 1199, so y'know, being a good project leader and all.
I'm not going to know what to do without a new Captain America and the Winter Soldier to watch this week. I guess I'm going to have to go troll the depths of Amazon Prime and HBOmax to find something to watch. I know there's crappy movies waiting for me.
At some point in the next few weeks, I need to go get my car's emissions done. Whoo. I may put in for an extension, so I can get the brakes done first. Not that it matters to the emissions, I suppose.
Okay, more coffee, and time to plug my computer in. It's getting grumpy.

Good luck with the Greek treats. May they arrive in a tasty fashion at your domicile.
