My alarm went off for one chirp this morning, and then put itself on snooze. Fortunately, it was enough to wake me up, so I didn't end up getting late. Since I have to take my newish diabetes medicine first thing and then wait thirty minutes, it would make my coffee way too late otherwise. I'd be still sucking it down while I was logging onto my computer for work.
I've been trying to do Swedish lessons via Duolingo, but I don't think that particular app is for me. The interface just doesn't work for the way I learn. I keep failing out of the free lessons and it's very frustrating. I could pay them for unlimited access, but I find myself not wanting to do it. I think I'm going to try Babbel. Their free lesson works a little better for me, so I'm willing to pay them. I'll start with the minimum term, which is I think three months. By the end of that, I should have a better idea of whether it'll work for me. It seems a little more conversation-oriented, which is what I'm going for. The other option is Rosetta Stone, but as they don't have a free lesson, I can't tell if that would work for me or not, so I'm loathe to pay them for it.
I am not good at languages, so either way, this is going to be difficult. But, it's to advance my career, so I will persevere. I found that a senior Team Lead in Stockholm makes the equivalent of 90k a year, which sounds like something I could definitely handle.
Today, Jess will go to the weed store for more sleepy pills. The good night tablets continue to work well for them, so they are totally worth the $45 for a month supply. I have prescriptions that cost more than that a month, so all in all, not bad.
Beyond that, not a whole lot going on. Just a long week at work, trying to juggle the project and my normal duties. We got the orders down to under 800, so I was very pleased with that. Slowly but surely, it's coming down. I won't be happy til it's done, of course, but that's just me.
