beansideI don't know if it was the vaccine, but last night, I was just thoroughly exhausted. Went to bed early and slept all the way through til 6. Then, I kind of drifted until I dragged out of bed at 8:20am. It would be a little long for the vaccine effects to last, but I've been weird before.
Gotta get myself together to go to get meats today from the Amish market. Don't have any clue what to pick up today. I'm thinking about pork chops. I'll have to fry them up, because they are not good in the slow cooker, but that would be okay. Maybe a nice marinade for them. It's just hard finding a balance between what can go in the slow cooker vs what I have to cook. I don't mind cooking, I just don't necessarily want to do it every night.
Then, if I have the energy, I'm supposed to cook hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. This will require getting charcoal and rolls, and cleaning the grill. It's more than I really feel like doing, but that's Dad's favorite meal, so I will probably end up doing it anyway. At least it's not D&D weekend, so there's no time constraints on when I have to do this all by.
The more I think about the vaccine set up at the Fairgrounds, the more I think what a herculean task this must have been. There were at least five hundred people working, and they all seemed to have been well trained, and were ready to be helpful. I know some are volunteers, and some were national guard. Getting that coordinated had to be a mess. I know I also am seeing it several weeks in, so they've had time to perfect it. Still, everything moved smoothly and quickly, and there was very little standing and waiting. All in all, it was a really good experience, and I have to give props to Baltimore County for it. The Maryland state roll out might suck, but the actual shot is a well oiled machine.
