Today, I get back my car! Yay! I took off a couple of hours early so I'll be ready to go get it the moment my sister gets home. I want my baby back. It's been too long since I had a car.
I need the car, because I have an in-person appointment with the dude who's going to be my new psych doctor. I'm looking forward to having a regular doctor again--mine passed in October, and we've just been kind of doing refills by other doctors in the practice. I'm a little nervous, of course. Hopefully, he's nice, and doesn't want to make any changes. I'm pretty happy with what I'm on now.
Plus next week, Dad has an appointment with his primary care doctor, so I need to be ready for that, too. I'm not looking forward to that. I don't dislike his doctor, but she will definitely harp about his weight, and it's just annoying. Hopefully, with the new ramp we got for the step out the door, all will go well. I always worry when I'm getting him out of the house that something will go wrong, because I hate being responsible.
Work was frustrating yesterday. My Chicago market just switched from one transport company to another, and the one we've left is sending me spreadsheets like a jilted lover. "this order came after the cutoff and will need to be cancelled and rebooked to the new company." For forty two orders. That's a lot of rebooking. I only got about 2/3 of it done yesterday, so I know what's waiting for me this morning. Ugh. I also, of course, have the new Chicago market, so I feel like I'm doing double work, even though I'm not really.
Our steaks failed to defrost in time so last night was McDonalds. Let me tell you, a Big Mac is not an acceptable substitute for a prime rib steak. So, with getting off early tonight, I will make the steaks. Hopefully, they're as good as they look.
