beansideSleep did not want to come last night. I feel like I got a some light dozing in. It was enough that I'm not a total zombie today, but I have a kind of all over ache. My head and back are both peeved, and it's very tempting to call out of work today. I probably won't because I'm trying to save my sick time this year, and I left early on Thursday. it's going to be delivery updates most of the day, which are tedious and boring. Maybe I'll be lucky and my manager will have something he needs done.
We did our weekly trip to the Amish market, and came out with quite the haul. Meat for the week, including some really nice looking ribeye steaks that i will cook up tonight. Beyond that, we got some roasts and a ham. The ham was pricey, but hopefully will be worth it. We also got lunchmeat, and then hit the cheese counter to get some tasty cheeses that will compliment them. Then, the bakery wasn't a total madhouse, so we went and got some sticky buns, and sourdough bread, rolls, and chocolate topped cookies for my sister. Also some peanut butter pie and a tiny shoofly pie.
We had a good dinner, courtesy of grubhub and Cafe Troia. It was pretty tasty. Even dad liked his grilled branzino. We had two dinners in a row where he was happy, which is pretty much unheard of. It's a special occasion restaurant, for sure, because wow, pricey, but their gnocchi was really good, and the chocolate flan was amazing.
Our ground is still kind of icy, though I'm hoping slightly warmer temperatures and a sunny day today will help with that. We're supposed to have more fucking snow tomorrow, so the more that goes away the better. On Wednesday, it's supposed to go up to 54, which is a goddamn heat wave.
Two weeks to my new schedule now. I want it now, precious!
