beanside | And back to work I go

I had a good long weekend. Wednesday, I did mostly nothing, which was nice. Jess and I watched an episode of the Witcher. (I know, as usual we're way late to the bandwagon.) It wasn't bad, and we'll probably watch more. I've been told that the story doesn't really kick into gear until the second ep, so we'll see how it goes.

Thursday was Yoda's day of beauty at the groomer. I also went with my brother in law to get the TV bench for his parents. Of course, he picked the one that's harder to assemble. He later said it exhausted him. Men! Then, as I was driving home, they called that Yoda was ready, so we went and picked up the puppers, and that was pretty much my day.

Friday was the gas lines, and the less said about that ordeal, the better.

Yesterday was good. We had Cracker Barrel for lunch, which is always tasty. It means driving a little, since we're well out of the delivery area, but we only had to wait a couple minutes, and our food was out. Then it was time for Monster of the Week. This week, our heroes delved into crystal statues that were people. It required a little more detective work than previous games, so hopefully my players still had fun, despite only two combats. We ran over, so we'll have to finish out the mystery next game, when our hunters delve into organized crime.

Then we had dinner, and some very excellent onion rings.

Now, it's back to work for the week. God knows what my markets will look like after four days off. Should be fun.
