beansideDad started with a cough on Friday, and is now in the hospital with the flu. My sister had a minor case that she thought was allergy, and brought it home. Now I’m coughing my fucking brains out. I’m sooo thrilled right now.
I had the flu shot, like everyone in the family, so I’m hoping it’ll be a quick and mild case. Of course, Jess drank after me last night, before the cough started so that’ll be awesome. I don’t feel horrible, so that’s a good thing. Still, I’m staying home from work today, since I’m probably contagious, and I don’t want to start a panic.
I have the equipment to work from home, as I was part of a pilot program to see if that was possible if the Corona virus necessitated closing the call center, but I don’t think they’ll let me extend that arrangement.
I will ask, though, when I call in sick.
ION, as someone with both asthma and diabetes, I really hope they close the center for 2 weeks. We have a backup call center in Canada, so unless the decision is made to close everything down, customers could still call to bitch about their furniture woes.
I want to socially distance myself, dammit.
