beansideSome days, I think the universe is out to spoil my good mood. I'm actually cheerful and awake today, and I won both things I bid on on ebay. Of course, then, I go to pay, and find out that my checking account is overdrawn. By $101.
Okay, I know I suck at money, but not that much! So, I called the bank. The idiots put my last check in as $32.03. Missing a zero there boys.
And, the traditional Hershey trip tomorrow for Christmas in Hershey is in jeopardy, due to a potential ice storm tomorrow. We should be fine here in Baltimore, but in Pennsylvania, they're looking at an accumulation of ice. Buggers.
Don't they know I have presents to get?
But, I will be cheerful, dammit. I'm tired of being gloomy.
Besides, last night, we went down to 34th street in the city. There's a block of neighbors who band together every year to produce their own Miracle on 34th Street. One entire block of the street on both sides is decked out to the max. Lights, animated figures, a tree made of hubcaps(only in Baltimore), a lighted gay pride flag (I love this city) and more reindeer than even Santa could need. (That's Santa, not Satan, butterfingers)
It's tacky, and gloriously overdone, and I love it. There's just something about it that warms your heart, in that odd way.
