Okay, so it's a wildly inappropriate icon, but I like to think of my fat as looking like happy little things.

After the outpouring from my last post, it seems like a lot of people are stuck in the same place as I am.

So, here's the question...would anyone be interested in a fandom related health-at-every-size community? Somewhere safe, where we could talk honestly about stuff like eating well and exercise that doesn't make us want to pass out?

And while we're at it, post pictures of attractive people who might not meet societal norms?

Yes to this. It's unbearable to me to see myself - there are no mirrors in my house - and at the same time I am disgusted with my disgust, and around and around we go.

I hate myself for being so well trained that when I look at people all I see are flaws.

And yes. On one hand, I don't believe in yo-yo dieting and crash dieting and extreme solutions like surgery and pills, except in very specific cases. On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to discuss my situation with people who aren't "perfect" and with people who won't tell me I'm evil for considering things like Alli and surgery, not so I can be beautiful, but so I can get up off the toilet.

Maybe where we can support each other in training ourselves not to think first of "classical" beauty but of ourselves as beautiful. Because I know things in my head but I don't believe them and it hurts.

I like the idea of a place where we can be supportive of people making personal choices, while providing them with the resources to make the best choice for them. Where maybe we don't always "get" each other, but we can always say we support and care for each other.

*hug* I might have problems with supporting Weight loss surgery and Alli, mostly because I think both trade one problem for another, but I support you in the feeling of desperately needing something to change and wanting support in that. So, it's a fine line, but yes.
