So, wow. How much shit has changed in the few days since I posted last?

For the moment, Prop 8 is going to be ignored. I just cannot deal with the stupidity and hatred, so I refuse to think about it.

Went to the neurosurgeon yesterday, and he (thankfully) wants to try some more conservative therapies first. I have appts for pain management and physical therapy to start. He was awesome, and I absolutely adored Dr. Bethel.

Despite the good news, have had three absolutely shitty pain days in a row, including today. I am on so many drugs, and they are barely scratching the surface.

I am so overwhelmed by Obama's victory. I had hope, but I was terrified. The thought of 4 years of McCain/Palin doing a dance on my rights scared the fuck out of me. Obama's not perfect, but he makes me feel like there's hope. Like maybe we'll get somewhere. *crosses fingers* I think my favorite moment was watching Steven Colbert cry and try to cover it. It just said so much about what I was feeling.

Now, I will attempt to do work. Ew.

Yay for a neuro that wants to start out conservatively. That is such a blessing. Boooo on the pain. *hugs gently* I'm so sorry about that. A week ago today my neuro had me in a surgery called a cerebral angiogram; no I'd never heard of one before and they are being stingy with the results of all that dye in my brain. Anyway, I was just letting you know you have company. I've found while misery does love company, so does everyone else.
I cried through Obama's acceptance. For the first time in years I felt hope, if not so much for me, then for this country. I'm with you on just ignoring CA, that'll be appealed and contested and dealt with another time.
