So, wow. How much shit has changed in the few days since I posted last?
For the moment, Prop 8 is going to be ignored. I just cannot deal with the stupidity and hatred, so I refuse to think about it.
Went to the neurosurgeon yesterday, and he (thankfully) wants to try some more conservative therapies first. I have appts for pain management and physical therapy to start. He was awesome, and I absolutely adored Dr. Bethel.
Despite the good news, have had three absolutely shitty pain days in a row, including today. I am on so many drugs, and they are barely scratching the surface.
I am so overwhelmed by Obama's victory. I had hope, but I was terrified. The thought of 4 years of McCain/Palin doing a dance on my rights scared the fuck out of me. Obama's not perfect, but he makes me feel like there's hope. Like maybe we'll get somewhere. *crosses fingers* I think my favorite moment was watching Steven Colbert cry and try to cover it. It just said so much about what I was feeling.
Now, I will attempt to do work. Ew.

Date: 2008-11-06 05:53 pm (UTC)i've heard that a decision on prop 8 isn't final yet because it was so close and they still have to count something like three million absentee and provisional ballots, and also that all the gay couples who got married in the past four months still have legal marriages, so someone's already gearing up to challenge a yes decision. i don't know how true any of those things are, but they're kind of hopeful.
