I have returned!!
Sweet fluffy Jesus, you can tell that I don't do much these days. I feel like someone beat me with a stick. But, I socialized, y'all!
Highlights of con.txt for me included things like: Seeing the awesome
hederahelix who I haven't seen in 7 years. Seeing the equally awesome
kimannebb who I haven't seen in...3? 4? years. Breakfast with so many people whose names I will never remember, but included
bayleaf and
uschickens both of whom we had met briefly at Wincon two years ago. Making a new friend out of
typhoidk Meeting
drlense who was adorable. All perky and fangirly and cute! The Disco Duck, which for a lesbian was like a visual buffet. Breasts EVERYWHERE, omg, died and went to heaven. I cannot remember the name of
bayleaf's roommate, but the red PVC vest? Nice. She truly looked slammin.
*laugh* I'm a perv. Like you all didn't know that?
Panels that we went to were all fun, and I was reminded that as PT pointed out long ago, people do not watch the same Supernatural that I watch. I co-modded a panel, which was actually a lot of fun, to my suprise. Having both
bayleaf and
gblvr in it made for some spirited conversation. (also one of the boys of the con, whose name I cannot remember, but he bought
digtitalwave's Sam Manip at the auction.) It was really cool to get a gay man's perspective on slash.
Met so many people, and was shocked and SO flattered at how many of them actually took the time to let us know that they liked our fics. *blush*
So, thank you so much to the con people. You did an awesome job, and I thank you for all your hard work.
ETA: Thank you to
bayleaf for the new title of my LJ! Fannish dyke conversations are awesome.

Date: 2008-06-16 02:20 pm (UTC)I guess, in retrospect, it really has been that long, which is sad. I miss y'all when I don't get back east as often or for as long as I wish I could. It was totally awesome to get to see you guys.
