Is can has naptime?

Why must mornings be so damn early?

Had a good weekend, though not much was done. We're both still recovering from the Mutant Death Flu, or whatever the hell that was. I swear, I haven't felt as shitty as I did with this one the last two times I had pneumonia combined.

I've been playing Ratchet and Clank on the PS2, and oh my god, what a cracktastic little game. Fun, fluffy and not impossible to defeat, which is nice. Last night, we watched American Gladiators, which has become one of our new crack-shows. Really, they had me at the one contestant who wanted to win because "I don't want my momma to live in a trailer anymore" I shit you not. It was hysterical.

Also, really hot buff chicks, and boys.

It's funny how some shows become "our shows," and others, for no apparent reason, don't. Take the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Good show, good acting, people I like, from a franchise I adore. Still not my show. I watch it, I enjoy it, but it doesn't service me.

So, what are the shows that service me?

Why, I'm glad you asked!

Mondays:
American Gladiator: See also, hot girls and some awesomely funny contestants. It's satisfying the part of me that got fed up with wrestling's bullshit, but still wants to see people get the unholy shit kicked out of them.

Tuesday:
I'm so ashamed. American Idol. I started watching last season, because I'd had a shitty day, and I wanted to enjoy Simon making people feel worse than me.

Wednesday:
Mythbusters: I'm a science nerd. Deal.
Project Runway/Top Chef/Shear Genius: Bravo's reality shows are crack. Seriously. Except for Top Design, which was like watching paint dry.

Thursday:
Do you even have to ask? I love my boys. Even an episode that I end up "meh" on is better than just about anything else I could watch. Supernatural services me, and is only one of three scripted shows on the list.

Friday:
Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster and [livejournal.com profile] mona1347! I didn't want to like SGA. I wasn't going to like it. Then you two pimped and dammit. I really love this show. Rodney McKay is my tv boyfriend.

Saturday:
Again. Damn you, [livejournal.com profile] mona1347! You had to show us the gay romance. Torchwood totally services me. I want to smish the characters against my bosom and cuddle them. Then, I want them to make out for my amusement. Oh...wait. They do that anyway. Such an awesome show. It services every button. Gore and violence? Check. Cool sci-fi plots? Check. Beating the everliving hell out of characters emotionally and physically? Oh yeah. Slashy subtext? Well...no. Because it's text! How awesome is that?

Sunday:
Rock of Love 2 It should be skanky and make me throw up in my mouth a little. But it doesn't. It's fun, a little sleazy. But I really like some of the girls and well...I'd still jump Bret Michaels.

Anyhow, those are the shows that service me.

Honorable mentions for crack that I'll watch to soothe myself: Dr. Who, How it's Made, Jon and Kate plus 8, Ninja Warrior.

I'm sadly addicted to American Gladiators. Wolf is my favorite - I don't believe I have a favorite Gladiator *FACEPALM!* - because he absolutely seems not to take his character too seriously.
