We have made it to the halfway day of the week. It's going to be a tough day because it's my sister's birthday and she is off. Lots of distractions. I was tempted to take an extra Vyvanse, but that would probably be bad.

I don't think I mentioned it here, but my insurance has decided that they're no longer covering Vyvanse. They want me to switch to Azstarys. I'm willing to give it a shot, but I really don't want to. The Vyvanse all but cured my daytime anxiety and irritability. I wish it lasted more like 18 hours, because that would cover me til bed, but 13 isn't bad. Because I have ADD, it works paradoxically, settling me down. I could easily sleep on it, with no problem. It's a wonderful drug and after October, I will miss it.

Why are people stupid? In looking for people to use openings, I find SO many badly done appointments. Just a ton of them wehre people scheduled for the wrong machine, ones where they have things that prevent MRIs, or on the other hand, ones that are scheduled for Metal Artifact Reduction Software because they checked the wrong box. The question specifically says "Is there a joint replacement in the area being scanned. A knee replacement on a scan of the heart does not count. Or a knee replacement on a scan of the shoulder. That's 90 minutes that you just wasted on the schedule. When our MRIs are running a minimum of 4 weeks out.

These people were trained the same way as me, and some have been here longer. It makes me crazy.

Work has been busy. Johns Hopkins is in negotiations with United Heathcare for them to be less shitty about prior authorizations and automatic denials on the first attempt, which creates undue administrative burden as well as some seriously slow processing time of claims, resulting in delayed payments, but UHC is balking. I don't think any of what we're asking is stuff that should be a problem for them, but UHC is shitty, and they like holding 70milion dollars in payments. Anyhow, our contract expires on Monday, so we're getting a ton of calls about it. It's like the death of a million papercuts.

Today, I believe I'm going to mix up a tasty sauce and Jess is going to pour it over salmon and bake it while I go to get cupcakes for my sister. She has chosen Flavor Cupcakes, which are up near Bel Air. I do not mind running up to get them. They are, afterall, my favorite bakery, too.

Tomorrow, it shall be pasta with meat balls. I got fresh basil at the farmer's market, which has been sitting in water to keep it happy. I'll make a nice sauce, roll up some meatballs, and be good to go. I'm hoping I'll have time to color my hair tomorrow.

Yesterday, I feel like I was productive. I finally got rid of our old mattress, only 2 months after the new one came. It was super easy, and I felt a little bad that it took me so long. Procrastination is a hell of a thing.

And on that note, time to read more module. I've decided that I'll read T. Kingfisher during the evenings, and the module during the day. Everyone have an amazing Wednesday!
