The final song of Queen week. The story was that Freddy was not doing well, and Brian May was concerned that he couldn't do the rather challenging vocal of the song. Freddie took a shot of vodka, said "I'll fucking do it, darling," and nailed the song in one take. It's one of my favorite Queen songs, and one I'll frequently listen to it when my options are to wallow in misery, or take the metaphorical shot of vodka and just fucking do it, darling.

Today is Bucky Day! Sadly, the reviews from Thunderbolts say that Bucky is kind of pushed to the side in favor of Yelena (who I also love), but that when he's in it, he's awesome, so that's something. First, I work until 12pm, then movies at 1:15.

After that, come home, figure out dinner and then get ready for game at 7. It's a shame that I can't just stop at Sam's and grab a pizza. That would be a good, cheap dinner.

Debating tomorrow about going to donate plasma for a couple extra bucks. I made an appointment, but we'll see if I keep it, or for that matter, if they'll take my blood. I'm pretty low risk, I think, but the diabetes may scare them off.

Yesterday was a busy day at work. It was another day of correcting other people's errors, which is always fun. Fortunately, everyone was cool about it. I have become the Sophie Devereaux of the team. They send me in when the chances are high that the pt could be a dick about things, because I'm very good at diffusing the situation and getting people onboard with our solutions. I have that talent of being very warm and gentle letting them feel like we're a team, so they are now my coconspirators in getting this appointment done correctly.

In short order, I had to call the parents of a child who needed an important test to get them in next day (they wanted same day), a patient who scheduled an appointment on my chart for a Heart CT in a center that can't do him, because he's over 400lbs, and the scanner is only good up to 300, and last to let a patient know that his doctor changed the order, and the spot we have in 3 days no longer will work, because now he wants contrast, and the contrast techs don't come in until 8am.

I actually enjoy those. They're a challenge, and I love that. It keeps me awake and engaged.

Okay, time to see what the morning will bring! Everyone have an awesome Saturday!!
