It's Friday, which means its the start of a frantically busy weekend. Today, work, then Valnetine's day dinner, then Frostmaiden. Tomorrow, work til 12, Odyssey of the Dragonlords at 2, and then Monster of the Week at 7. Then on Sunday morning, we're going to see Captian America, and we have Rise of the Ice Dragons at 5:30.
On the plus side, I just came up with the plot for Monsters of the Week, so that's a thing. I'd been kind of scrambling. The problem is that these characters have been going for four and a half years. They're kind of the gods of monster hunters. They stopped an apocalypse, brought the supernatural out from the shadows and are literally fighting angels and demons. It makes coming up with a compelling mystery a little difficult. Last week, it was birthing the new Prophet. It can be tough coming up with a high-stakes plot. But this morning, I came up with something that works in the framework of the world building, so that makes me happy.
Frostmaiden is already set. I introduced the fight a little bit ago, and the baddie just landed. She's an avatar of the current BBEG, so I expect her to be a difficult challenge. I just have to remember to use all of her stuff. She's got so much shit that she can do that it's hard to keep track.
I'm looking forward to seeing Captain America on Sunday. It's getting mixed reviews, so I'm a little nervous, but I really want to see it. I'm pissed at Disney for scaling back their DEI programs, but I'm not going to risk this movie doing poorly, because if it does, then it'll be because it's headed by a Black man.
Tonight, I have a big ass tomahawk ribeye to cook. Upon contemplation on how to manage this, I'm going to cut it off the bone and sear the steak good. Then, I'm going to put the bone in the oven to cook it. I only got one, which is about 3lbs of meat, plus a baked potato, plus baked Brussel sprouts.
It should be a good dinner, I think.
Okay, time for me to consider getting myself together. Everyone have an excellent Friday!
