Monday and I did not want to get out of bed. I was sleepy amd wanted to just lay there and sleep a little longer.
Today is going to be a long Monday. We've got a winter storm that's supposed to hit at some point tomorrow, so it's going to be cancellation central at work today. Right now, the weather's not supposed to hit til tomorrow night, but we'll see.
My sister is supposed to be making her trip to Boston to see the other site that she manages on Wednesday. Of course, now Tues night/Wednesday day are supposed to be the worst of it. By the time it's all done, we'll have 4-8", then more on Wednesday evening, when we may have more icy precipitation.
So, we'll see if she's able to go. I'm going to go up to Sam's club this evening and get some meats for Valentines day under the assumption that I'm going to have three people for dinner. No romantic meal, followed by Frostmaiden for us. I'm figuring on some good steaks, and maybe some bacon wrapped scallops, and maybe some brussel sprouts and potato of some sort. We'll see what I can afford and what looks good.
I have long tormented my players with oversized D&D maps, but now
coyotegestalt is doing it to me! There's a hoard of undead at the other end of the map, and I'm playing a high level cleric. But it's going to take me at least 4 rounds go get down there, maybe more. I'm figuring the next round, I can do something useful. The round after that, possibly not, so I might just use my action to dash, so I can get a little further. Ideallly, I'll get down by the skeletons having used my action to dash, and they'll have a round to get in close, sensing the nice unacompanied woman in their midst. Then, when they cluster around, I'll turn undead and see how many I can get rid of.
I did jack all last night. Made the Boursin pasta, and went to bead early on account of headache. Still have a bit of one this morning, but nothing terrible.
Actually looking at the weather for the week, I think my sister will be home, so we'll see what food we can afford. Probably not the cowboy ribeye, but maybe some NY Strip steaks. Those would be tasty.
Okay, time to get my ass in gear if I want to cook a little breakfast. (which I think I do. The cottage cheese just didn't last until lunchtime.
Everyone have the best Monday you can Monday!
