I don't know if it was defying gravity, but that was a Day. I hurt in places I didn't know existed, but we were victorious!
We both got up early and were scrambling around for everything that needed to be done. The bed was summarily heaved onto the back porch, and all was ready.
The movers arrived, and it was a team of 3 guys. They looked at our sad, meager collection of boxes and got to work. In no time at all, they had everything loaded on the truck, and we were heading for the new apartment. They quickly unloaded, and the one guy kindly took my sister's mattress from the box and sat it on it's side for easy assembly. It took them 42 minutes to shift all of our stuff from one house to another. It was the best $500 I've ever spent.
The rest of the day was a whirlwind of putting things together, and unpacking. We're not there yet, but it's slowly getting there. We still have a few things to put together. Jess' desk, another end table, a nightstand and some of my sister's furniture. We did however finish her bed, so that's something.

After we'd tapped out (technically, I tapped out) of assembling anything more, we relaxed for a few minutes, and then headed over to get our Sam's club order. Then a brief stop at the house to eat sushi and pick up the cat, her littler box and her cat tree, and we headed home.
Boodle is so unhappy. It's breaking my heart. She hid for a while under Jess' pillow, then for a good chunk of the night, she cried and scratched at the window. Eventually, she wormed under the covers at Jess' feet and that is where she stayed. She is still there.
Needless to say, we are both very tired and hurty today. Still, the apartment is beautiful, and I'm so happy we chose here. I am content.
