It cloudy and it's cold, but it's Friday!! Whooo! One more day til two whole days off!
It's a very games weekend with four sessions, all of which I'm DMing, so I'm going to be busy. The holidays are both hard for D&D and awesome for pick up games. Go figure. These are all one shots that are not. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking, to be honest. I know a lot of people will game for 6 hours, but some of these aren't even two shots--they're basically a mini campaign.
Yesterday was good. I had my meeting after lunch and met with my manager. I am getting a raise this year, though they haven't gotten numbers yet from HR. She doesn't believe it'll be prorated. I have been shorting myself my present for getting 100%. Basically, every month you hit your projected goals, you get an hour lunch to use. Well, I now have four to use. lol.
So I'll take them over the next few weeks. lol
They're currently finishing up the current class, but when it's done, I'm going to be enrolled in Leadership Academy for radiology. It's a class on how to be a manager, and the woman who got the job I had applied for had gone through it. So that's exciting. I'm looking forward to it in the new year.
Today, Yoda has his pre-holiday day of beauty. Jess will take him over, and then one of us will pick him up as soon as he's done. If he's after I get off work, I'll get him, and he might have to wait an extra hour while I run to Sam's Club.
After thinking about it, and running the numbers a few times, I realized that going to Fogo was just not fiscally responsible. So we're going to get a prime rib roast, and some sides and have dinner at home. And while I'm there, I can get a few extra things like coffee creamer (do you know how many of them have aspartame or sucralose? Ick.) and some more hardboiled eggs for breakfast.
I could do Sam's club tomorrow, but it's so bugfuck on a weekend that I'd rather do it tonight. Tomorrow, I have to brave Heavenly Ham to grab our ham and cheese biscuit breakfast for Christmas.
Okay, time for me to go forth and get ready for work. Everyone have an amazing Friday!
