We're almost there! Two more days til the weekend! After a really busy Monday, the rest of the week has settled down a bit at work. Yesterday was so slow that I only did 40 calls.
My competitive nature comes out in my scheduling, I've noticed. I get a little kick out of it when I'm able to get a patient in quickly, especially if the spot opens up suddenly. I get a little bit smug about it.
I'm working for 4 hours on Saturday, so that'll be easy money. Take 10 calls over 4 hours and spend the rest of the time piddling around. Last week, my OT netted me about $155 extra in my check, so that was very nice.
Jess is working on a medical terminology course right now, in preparation for taking medical transcription. They've been studying like crazy. It reminds me a little bit uncomfortably of me at 911. They're doing amazing, considering that it's only been two days. I'm very proud of them, but I hope they don't burn themselves out with this.
With Spain off the table for the moment, I've been looking at Portugal. I'm debating between Porto or Braga, but leaning towards Porto. It seems to have more of the feel that I'm looking for, and has a vibrant queer community, which is important to me. I considered Lisbon, but it's hella pricey.
We had a lovely game of Blades in the Dark last night. Didn't finish up the heist, so we'll continue in 2 weeks.
Tomorrow, we have Curse of Strahd, and I'll be curious to see what the party does. They've finished the side quests, and all that's really left is to assault Castle Ravenloft, and go for the big prize.
Okay, time for me to go forth and get myself dressed and ready for work. Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
